Dear Friends,
It's Spring Break! There's no school so Moms (have) Gone Wild! And do we ever need a break from the break...Anyway, being the clever mom that I am, I decided to take Chester for an educational weekend to our nation's capital. I won't bore you with the list of sights and museums we visited - and there were plently - but I will share some interesting nuggets that I learned. 1. George Washington was into espionage. 2. Abe Lincoln had huge hands. 3. Chester Arthur (our 21st President) was a dandy dresser with crazy facial hair. 4. I could never be an astronaut because going upside down/super fast/backwards in space would surely make me sick. 5. Cherry blossoms are a sight to behold. 6. Washington is much cleaner than NYC. But NYC would win in an arm-wrestling contest without question. She is much scrappier.

Cute Stuff For Kids
This section seems to have turned into a space for promoting other businesses that I think are worthwhile, or stuff that I think you need to buy. To that end, this month I would like to introduce you to the Good Stuff Gang, located in the Locks N Lads hair salon in the glorious East Village.
Owner Soo Yoon Najarian has a varied selection of cute stuff - from well-known brands like Zutano to some cooler, lesser known threads for little ones such as: Sourpuss (featuring New York Dolls, AC/DC and Queen tees), Lucky Wang (our favorite kimonos and printed onesies), and Glug (cool and sweet t- shirts that I would wear if I were 4).
Best of all, Good Stuff Gang has their own line of tees and 25% of the profits go to a worthy cause - Stand Up For Kids, which supports homeless and at-risk youth.
Find the Good Stuff Gang at 123 East 7th Street (between 1st Ave and Ave A), or at 212.677.2262 or soo@goodstuffgang.com.

Wave Goodbye to Bingo Wings!
They are unsightly. Your grandma had them, your mother has them, and now you? I once had a teacher call them Bingo Wings, as in when you raise your arm to yell "Bingo!" they kept jiggling. That's right, it's those pesky soft arms. You may not be a Bingo enthusiast, but you can surely imagine the horror of shaking someone's hand only to have your arm continue to move long after the greeting is over. Sound horrible? Let's get busy.
- Triceps dips can be done on the edge of a stable chair, on stairs or at your desk. Stand with your back to the chair (for example) and place your hands on the edge. Your feet should be hip distance apart and your toes pointed straight ahead. Keep your back straight as you bend your elbows back to lower your body. Then press up into your triceps to lift. Repeat 10x.
- Holding 2-5 lb weights, stand up tall with your arms bent behind you and your hands/weights close to your sides. Extend your arms back, engaging the triceps, and bend back in. Repeat 8-10x.
- Standing with your arms long by your side holding the weights, take one arm up to the ceiling, keeping your shoulder down. Bend your elbow, lowering the weight to the back of your head, and extend back up. Repeat 5-10x each arm.
- As always - make sure your abs are engaged while doing all of these movements. Do these exercises at least 4x per week, but if you are really ambitious you can do it every day - and say goodbye to jello arms!
