Ahoy, Ladies!
Last week was Fleet Week here in NYC, which meant lots of men in uniform! Somehow I started thinking about the saying ‘clothes make the man’. If that is so, then bras make the woman! There’s nothing like that great boost of confidence one gets when sporting a supportive undergarment. So mind your sinking vessels lassies and get yourself a new summer foundation wardrobe. To assist you in your search, I did an informal Centered poll that revealed the best bra shopping experiences based on selection and a knowledgeable sales staff. The results: set sail for Bloomingdales, Bra Smyth and Town Shop.
Tip Of The Month :
It’s officially summer and time to expose your limbs. Who wants to walk around with weak and jiggly arms? Not you. Triceps dips are the answer to your wobbly woes!
| 1.
Start by finding a secure chair (no wheels) and sit at the front edge of the seat. Bring your feet to a parallel position, hip distance apart. |
| 2. With your hands on the chair next to your hips, lift your bottom off the chair and bring your hips forward just far enough to clear the chair seat. Your knees should be at a right angle, i.e. they do not extend forward of your toes. |
|
| 3. Keeping a long neck and open chest, bend your elbows back (and close to your body) to lower yourself down, then press back up. |
| 4. Remember you are not only using your arms. You must also use your abdominal and back muscles to assist you in your dips, |
Have you heard about our new 5+5 Package? That’s 5 privates and 5 mat classes for $540. It’s a great way to start if you are new to Pilates, and can also be a good way to mix up your workout if you have been doing exclusively privates or mats so far.
And, as though that is not exciting enough – June is Bring a Friend for Free month. So grab your friends, lazy co-workers, and sisters and bring them down for a free mat class. They will be so happy, the might even split the cost of yours
Love,
